Our sustainable preschool program in Arusha, Tanzania where the Flood Garden program is the basis for hands-on learning
Our children learn about their important role in developing and transforming their communities.
The Flood Garden Project is an education model that serves as a prototype to enhance the effectiveness of schools in poor communities. The creation of a small working farm within the school provides needed learning tools and hands-on learning opportunities in a cost-effective and self-sustaining way.
We plan to expand the Flood Garden Project to provide our older students an opportunity to continue using our curriculum. We aim to build a farm school to house a Primary School and a Career/Technology/Engineering (CTE) Training Secondary School.
This extraordinary group of teachers have been working on transforming our preschool in Arusha into an exceptional educational program. They are participating in special online collaborating projects, building all the lesson tools and using the Flood Garden as the ultimate school resource.
